How we support Schools:

  • Provide specific and individual targeted plans to support students with learning differences within the regular classroom setting.

  • Share specific tools and strategies that teachers can apply on a daily basis to differentiate instruction for their students.

  • Educate teachers about specific learning dis/abilities and how to best equip students and families to cope with those learning differences.

  • Provide PD from experienced Psychologists, Occupational therapists, Speech and language therapists, Learning Specialists, and math and literacy coaches. 

  • Coach schools in how to support bilingual and English language learners to master English as their primary school language.

  • Help schools to offer family engagement opportunities, so parents are well informed in what their kids are learning and how to best support them at home.

  • Design parent teacher conferences that are efficient in setting achievable goals for students and families. 

  • Teach teachers how to support students in developing their metacognitive skills, so they can advocate for themselves. Research shows that students who understand how they learn best, tend to succeed in achieving their academic goals.

  • Coach teachers in how to build  independence and self regulation skills for students who struggle not only academically, but emotionally in the classroom. 

 

How we support Families:

  • Work with families to understand leverage student assessment and evaluations.
  • Provide tools and strategies for parents to support their children at home according to specific learning differences.

  • Teach families how to best advocate for their children in the school setting. 

  • Provide detailed plans on how to best approach meetings and parent teacher conferences with schools and teachers.

  • Communicate with tutors and establish plans to better support students with learning gaps. Bridges will ensure that tutors and schools combine efforts to best support students.

  • Empower families to ask the right questions when they need to advocate for their children.

  • Help families identify specialists to support their child.

  • Assist families in determining if their children are in a school setting that meets the needs of their kids.
